It is said that on one occasion, to convince his uncle [[Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyya]], who claimed the Imamate, the Imam asked him to go to [[Mecca]] to the [[Black Stone|Hajar al-Aswad]], and whoever the Hajar al-Aswad confirmed as the Imam would be the rightful one.
