Al-Shajara Mosque

Al-Shajara mosque المسجد الشجرة is situated in the region of Dhu l-Ḥulayfa ذوالحليفة near the holy city of Medina and this is the place to wear iḥrām for the people who go to Mecca via holy city of Medina.

It is not permissible to delay in wearing iḥrām from al-Shajara mosque to Juḥfa unless an urgent situation arises such as a disease, weakness or other genuine excuses. Wearing iḥrām outside the al-Shajarah mosque is not valid but wearing iḥrām in any part of the mosque, even in the new extended parts is considered sufficient and valid.
