This is the same house in which the holy Prophet (s) and the very first Muslims used to gather in secret in the early days of Islam to worship Allah. Dar al-Arqam was near Safa mountain and outside al-Masjid al-Haram. Later, a library was established there which was destroyed in 1975. Then it came into the al-Masjid al-Haram during the developments in the era of Sa'ud b. Abd al-Aziz.
