Hira' cave is one of the most sacred places of Mecca located on the southern slope Jabal al-Nur, 160 meters below the peak. Jabal al-Nur is a tall mountain in the north of Mecca that overlooks Mina. The Prophet Muhammad (s), used to worship Allah there before his prophethood and this was the place where the very first verses of Holy Quran were revealed to him.
