'''Salat al-Tahiyyah''' (Prayer of Greeting) is a two-rak'ah prayer that is recommended to be performed upon entering [[mosque]]s, including [[Al-Masjid an-Nabawi]] and other mosques in [[Mecca]] and [[Medina]]. This [[prayer]] does not have a specific method and is performed like the Fajr prayer. This prayer has been recommended in narrations and is referred to as the right of the mosque. It is said that by performing an obligatory or recommended prayer, the virtue of Salat al-Tahiyyah is attained, and performing Salat al-Tahiyyah is not necessary. Most Maraji' al-Taqlid have stated that [[Masjid al-Haram]] does not have Salat al-Tahiyyah, and its greeting is [[Tawaf]].

The prayer recommended in [[Jamkaran Mosque]] is four rak'ahs, two of which are called Salat al-Tahiyyah.
