It is said that during the [[Battle of the Trench]], the companions of [[Muhammad|the Prophet (PBUH)]] would take him to the Cave of Banu Haram at night to protect him from enemy raids, and they would descend from the cave in the morning. This mosque, which is in the form of a cave, is located approximately eight hundred meters northwest of [[Al-Masjid an-Nabawi]]. A large rock serves as a roof for the cave, and a small arch is situated beside it.
